anticipated events is a full service New York / New Jersey event planning, design and decor firm. Our mission is simple; curate and execute your event seamlessly that you wake up the following day wondering if it were all a dream. Events, planning and decor are a passion for us, not a job and that makes all the difference in how we operate and execute.

We work with all clients and budgets, and pride ourselves in building relationships with vendors who share our core values and mission. Meet Anthony Lopez, Founder

When you know, you know! I’ve always known I wanted to be in the events industry but life as we know it takes us down different paths until finally the stars align. So many aspects of my life have helped shape my love for events and planning.

Born and raised in the Bronx, NY to Puerto Rican parents, family gatherings were always at the epicenter of celebrations. Birthdays, Holidays, Weddings or even dinner at Abuela’s was always a party. The common thread, endless amounts of love and laughter. 

During my undergraduate tenure at Cornell University, I was exposed to a different tier of planning; concerts, galas and conferences. While there was plenty of love and laughter to go around, with larger scale events, that alone doesn’t cut it. Here I began to hone in on some very important skills in planning, attention to detail and execution.

Post graduation, I had the opportunity to work for a high end Wedding and Events planner in NYC. After a short stint, I decided to take a full time job in the healthcare industry. While grinding through Corporate America, I began to blend what I learned from family, what I learned at Cornell and started planning events locally for friends and family. 

As they say, follow your dreams and you will never work a day in your life. Well, it’s the truth! I had the privilege to plan and execute so many wonderful events and never once has it felt like work. It’s the reason anticipated events was born and why I hope you choose us to plan your next event.
